Wonder: There is nothing that better describes the Dolomites than this feeling. Wonder at their beauty, their boldness, at a masterpiece of nature. Creating them took 270 million years. At the Infopoint, this process is shown in time-lapse – up to the present day, where the Dolomites are a "UNESCO World Heritage Site." The exhibition also reveals what lies behind this status, entertaining, informing, and amusing the visitor. And, of course, it induces wonder.

The exhibition design addresses numerous themes of the Dolomites' fascinating geological history. Plate tectonics and elevation differences are reflected in the wall design: stylized contour lines adorned with historical quotes cover the floors, walls, and ceilings of the exhibition. An island installation places the Dolomites in a global context and highlights the importance of UNESCO. Visitors also get an insight into the "Dolomites" World Heritage area. Numerous panels made of concrete and corten steel compellingly present the exciting history of the Dolomites. Touchable fossils and films complete the exhibition. Relaxing in a dolomite or quartz porphyry beanbag with an unobstructed view of the Geislerspitzen concludes the visit.

Sculpture: Childlike curiosity and the willingness to dive into something new are the perfect prerequisites for a visit to the Dolomites in general and the exhibition in particular. Given that the Dolomites originated from the seabed, what could be more fitting than a sculpture of a diving newborn? The artwork, created by the artist Hubert Mussner, vividly expresses all these qualities.
