The exhibition parcours through the coach house becomes a chronological tour through the history of travel luggage and its close interconnection with the respective modes of transport. From the heavy, bulky wooden trunks of the carriage era to travel by train and car, up to the present era of rolling suitcases, each epoch is touched upon. The exhibits are displayed on small stages, which are supported by a light wooden structure reminiscent of archive shelves. This flexibility of the wooden framework allowed for quick adjustments and economic minimization. The erection of large panel surfaces was avoided by pasting wallpaper prints directly onto the walls or printing on honeycomb cardboard. To guarantee an optical separation of the chronological sections, different color tones were assigned, which were applied in the furniture and graphics. Small interventions in the outdoor area on the way to the castle or museum complete the exhibition.
